Fostering Special Interests in a Healthy Way
Presented by, Author/Educator/Speaker, Tracey Cohen
Unaware of her autism until the age of 39 when Tracey received her official autism spectrum disorder diagnosis, Tracey first learned about running as a sport when she was inadvertently institutionalized at 11 years of age.
What began as a reprieve from the harshness of the institution’s sights, sounds, staff, and peers, evolved into a lifelong passion with added benefits of which Tracey never could have imagined.
In addition to sharing her own journey and passion, Tracey will expand on the importance of encouraging and supporting all special interests for every individual and ability. Tracey will share tips on how to do so in a healthy, productive way and share some of the many benefits that can transpire, including some that one might never have imagined!
Tracey will allow time for any questions attendees may have and share suggested resources.
