HR 101 is designed for anyone that wants to strengthen their HR leadership skills. The three-part virtual series will cover Developing Your Rock Stars and Super Stars, Unlocking Hidden Talent and Attracting a Diverse Workforce and A Manager’s Guide for Cultivating an Inclusive Culture and Diverse Workforce.

Session 1 - Developing Your Rock Stars and Super Stars

June 29, 2022 • 9:00-10:00am

Do you have a Rockstar on your team? Have you ever seen a Superstar in action at work? Maybe you answered "yes" or "maybe" to these questions. However, most leaders are unable to explain the difference between the two types of employees. This gap in understanding can result in unmotivated, disengaged and underperforming employees (often leading to retention issues). This workshop will be focused on understanding the difference between a Rockstar employee and a Superstar employee and the unique approaches in engaging, motivating and retaining them.

Session 2 - Unlocking Hidden Talent and Attracting a Diverse Workforce

If you are like many organizations, your top priority is hiring. With the “Great Resignation” upon us, many employers are struggling to fill their open roles. This is calling for hiring manager to explore different approaches to attracting members to their workforce. One approach is to tap into the “hidden talent”. This talent includes non-traditional workers who are willing and capable of being employed. During this workshop, we will discuss the various “hidden talent” pools, methods to recruitment and approaches for retaining this labor workforce.

Session 3 - A Manager’s Guide for Cultivating an Inclusive Culture and Diverse Workforce 

July 13, 2022 • 9:00-10:00am

Are you looking for a “how to” guide to help you navigate creating an inclusive culture? Alternatively, maybe you are seeking additional insight on attracting a workforce that is diverse. During this workshop, we will walk through a framework to help you build a culture that is inclusive and that will attract a diverse workforce. You will leave the session with 3-5 methods or approaches to implement within your organization.
