The BOOM Awards first launched in 2013, with the goal to blow up stereotypes and encourage others with disabilities to pursue their passions by sharing the stories of those who have achieved that feat. Awardees will be celebrated at the re:con Convention of New Beginnings November 6th, in Kalamazoo, where they will receive recognition in front of hundreds of attendees, an art piece created by Work Skills Corporation, and have a vignette created about their story by Good Fruit Video.
